Across Africa, waste generation is rising faster than the solutions meant to manage it; exposing deep gaps in policy, infrastructure, and technical expertise. Yet the continent is rich in ideas, innovation, and talent ready to drive change. What’s missing are the systems and partnerships to scale impact. The ISWA Africa Regional Chapter (ISWA ARC) exists to bridge these gaps by connecting governments, industry, academia, and communities; promoting international best practices; and facilitating projects that transform waste into opportunity - building a circular, sustainable, and prosperous Africa.
